Exhibition catalog of the seventeenth century to the twentieth guitars held at the Palazzo del Monferrato Alessandria in 2008.  This catalog presents an extraordinary collection of guitars with which to analyse the transformations of an instrument that, through four centuries, has evolved considerably, adapting to the needs and changes occurring in classical music.
The catalog is divided into two sections: a chronological journey with the history of the instrument detailing the highlights of each period technical aspects , the second part is iconographic and includes color photographs of 70 complete instruments and details thereof among them Renaissance guitar are Belchior Dias, baroque and romantic guitar guitars instruments besides guitars transition as 6 orders, 10-string guitar , guitar – guitar – harp or lyre.
